The project "Monitor the Examination System in Rayon Soroca"
On March, 01 2009 Community Association "Soarta" will begin implementing a new project of combating corruption, but this time, in the educational system from Soroca Rayon
Project title:
"Monitor the Examination System in Rayon Soroca"
Project location:
Rayon Soroca (town Soroca and 8 rural communities of the district Soroca)
Period of Implementation:
12 months

Partnership for Transparency Fund (PTF)

Soroca District Council, Soroca Educational Directorate
Goal:
To eliminate corruption in the education examination system of 12 lyceums in Rayon Soroca by promoting ethical conduct and institutional reforms.
Objectives:
Raising awareness of the pupils, teachers, parents, school administrators, state officials and public in Rayon Soroca of the educational corruption and its effects, and of the Educational System Law.
Increasing skills of NGO "Soarta" to monitor the examination process to prevent corruption in 12 lyceums of Rayon Soroca.
Through lobby and advocacy activities, to establish institutional and behavioural changes of disciplinary action for bribe-taking or bribe-giving in educational domain in Rayon Soroca.
Target group:
Direct beneficiaries of the project:
- Educational institutions (12 lyceums) of the district Soroca
- 12 Associations of Parents of the 12 lyceums of the district Soroca
- 12 Councils of Pupils of the 12 lyceums of the district Soroca
Indirect beneficiaries of the project/partners:
- 12 Administration staff of the 12 lyceums of the district
- 12 managers of the Lyceum in the rayon Soroca
- All the teachers of the 12 lyceums-target group
- 12 Parents Senates of the 12 lyceums of the district Soroca
- Soroca District Council
- Educational Directorate
- Appeals Board (3 members)
The implementing team, the donor organization, partners and project beneficiaries are sure that only uniting their forces they will contribute to repressing the most vicious phenomenon in the educational domain - corruption.
